The Association of Governance, Risk & Compliance (AGRC) has joined #RISK Expo Europe 2026 as a partner. The event takes place at ExCeL London on 10 and 11 November and brings together the people responsible for managing risk across UK and European organisations: chief risk officers, CISOs, heads of compliance, governance, internal audit and financial crime.
Under the partnership, AGRC will share the programme with its members and community, and host a stand on the exhibition floor across both days where members can meet the AGRC team and each other.
About AGRC
AGRC is a UK-based professional association headquartered on Lime Street in the City of London. It has more than 8,100 members in over 80 jurisdictions, and its community includes chief compliance officers, MLROs, board members and directors, as well as analysts earlier in their careers.
The association offers Level 3 certificates accredited by the London Institute of Banking & Finance (LIBF) in compliance, anti-money laundering, KYC and customer due diligence, corporate governance, risk management, sanctions compliance, and ESG principles and standards. Certificates in AI risk management and compliance, legal risk, and cryptoasset compliance are going through LIBF accreditation. AGRC also runs diplomas in governance, risk and compliance, financial crime prevention, and compliance consultancy, and appears on HMRC’s List 3 of approved professional organisations.
About #RISK Expo Europe
#RISK Expo Europe is run by GRC World Forums, part of Emerald, and is now in its fifth year. The 2026 event features more than 200 speakers, over 100 sessions and more than 100 exhibitors across three stages.
The programme is built for risk functions that need to work together. Security leaders need to understand third-party risk, compliance teams need to understand how people behave, and boards need all of them to report in a way they can act on. Delegates can move between the three stages over the two days, and between sessions and the exhibition floor.
Why the partnership fits
Much of the agenda overlaps with AGRC’s certification areas. Financial crime, operational resilience, third-party risk, board reporting, AI governance and compliance culture all feature on the programme. AGRC has also published on several of these subjects this year, including guidance on the UK Government’s Cyber Governance Code of Practice and an article on how behavioural science can help GRC teams change behaviour.

#RISK Expo Europe attracts senior governance, risk, compliance and security professionals, including chief risk officers, CISOs, heads of GRC, heads of internal audit, and leaders in legal, data protection, procurement and ESG. Delegates come from banking and financial services, insurance, technology, energy and utilities, healthcare and life sciences, critical infrastructure, manufacturing, retail and the public sector.

The agenda: three stages over two days
All three stages run on both days. Third-party risk appears on each of them, with five dedicated sessions looking at operational assurance, accountability, fourth-party exposure, the Bank of England’s Critical Third Parties regime and continuous cyber assurance.
BFSI Stage: Financial services risk, in practice
For risk, compliance and resilience leaders in banking, payments and insurance. Sessions cover operational resilience for boards, DORA and NIS2 obligations for banks and insurers, the Critical Third Parties regime, AI across the three lines of defence, cyber, fraud and financial crime, and concentration risk in cloud and third-party arrangements. Speakers include Emma Hurrell (HSBC Bank UK), Mitzi Pryce (Standard Chartered), Filip Maertens (Euroclear) and Gill Loisel (Euroclear UK & International). Halsey Keetch of Careers in Group anchors the stage.
GRC Stage: Governance without the silos
For heads of governance, compliance and internal audit. Sessions cover designing a connected GRC framework, dynamic risk appetite, board-ready reporting, AI-enabled GRC and its limits, closing the gap between policy and culture, audit as a strategic partner, and choosing the right GRC platform. Michael Rasmussen, the GRC analyst, anchors the stage.
RISK Stage: Risk, as its own discipline
For CROs, CISOs and heads of cyber risk who report exposure to the board. Sessions cover executive accountability and personal liability, geopolitical and supply chain risk, insider risk, cyber-enabled financial crime, Zero Trust in practice, and quantifying risk in financial terms.
Gordon Malcolm, Chief Risk Officer at Investec, is running a workshop on changing risk management culture. Other confirmed speakers include Ian Rae (John Lewis Partnership), Lorraine Pinter (Arsenal FC), Arcangelo Leone de Castris (Aviva), Sven Dobler (Cover-More/Zurich) and Duncan McDonald (NCC Group).
Day Two: PrivSec AI Governance
On 11 November, PrivSec AI Governance runs alongside the expo as a separately ticketed one-day conference. Keynotes come from Lord Chris Holmes and Max Schrems of noyb, and Michael Charles Borrelli of AI & Partners will speak on EU AI Act compliance.
The #RISK Awards, 11 November
On the evening of 11 November, the #RISK Awards take place at ExCeL London, recognising individuals and teams across risk, governance, compliance and security.
