Mateo Jarrin Cuvi

Global Manager for Partners & Media · The Association of Governance, Risk and Compliance

During his 20-year career, Mateo Jarrin Cuvi has played important roles in a wide array of industries, eventually landing in the financial services sector where he has focused on content creation and management and business writing geared towards the financial services industry. After dabbling in the oil and gas field, managing media relations for the Venezuelan Embassy in Washington DC, and working as a program manager for a Cypriot study abroad firm, Mateo served as Content Manager for Taxlinked, an international network for tax and law professionals, and Content Writer for FXPRIMUS, a Forex broker with a strong presence in southeast Asia. Today, he leads the charge for the Association of Governance, Risk & Compliance (AGRC) as Global Manager for Partners and Media, establishing strategic partnerships, promoting the association’s work, and liaising with members and partner organisations. Mateo holds BAs in Foreign Affairs and Latin American Studies from the University of Virginia (UVA) and an MA in Latin American Studies with a focus on Sociology and Anthropology from the University of California in San Diego (UCSD). Plus, he’s a journalist and writer who has published fiction, food and wine articles, financial content, and other travel-related pieces in several local and global publications.

Sarah-Jane Denton

Director, Operational Risk & Environment · Travers Smith

Sarah-Jane is a Director in the Travers Smith Operational Risk & Environment Group, and a member of the firm’s ESG and Impact Committee. Sarah-Jane has many years of experience advising on a broad range of environmental topics both in support of transactions and in an advisory context. In recent years, she has particularly focused on advising both financial sector firms and corporates on UK and EU ESG regulation, having particular expertise in climate and sustainability reporting regimes and their impacts on UK and international businesses. Her practice extends to corporate governance, human rights, supply chain risk and related social issues under the ESG umbrella. She is a regular writer and speaker on ESG topics and contributes to key UK and EU industry bodies on ESG. 

Joshua Domb

Founder and Managing Partner · Gen-R Law

Joshua Domb is the Founder and Managing Partner of Gen-R Law. He leads the firm’s ESG, Compliance and Investigations practice.   Joshua trained and qualified as a White Collar Crime lawyer at DLA Piper. He joined Paul Hastings as an associate, before moving to McDermott Will & Emery as a senior associate.   Prior to setting up Gen-R Law, Joshua spent a year travelling with his wife. He used that time to read extensively about climate change, ESG, biodiversity, sustainability and the supporting domestic and international legal and regulatory frameworks, building on a long-standing interest in these topics.   Since opening Gen-R Law in March 2024, Joshua has been advising clients on a range of topics in the ESG space, with a particular focus on the integration of ESG into business operations, ESG and climate literacy training, greenwashing and sustainability reporting.   Joshua has extensive experience advising leading corporates and high-profile individuals on a wide range of domestic and international issues involving allegations of bribery, corruption, money laundering, fraud and tax evasion. He uses this deep regulatory expertise to inform his approach to advising on how corporate shortcomings on matters related to climate change and ESG might translate into legal and regulatory risks.   Joshua’s excellence in ESG was recognised in June 2024 when he was announced as a finalist for the Legal ESG “Paul Watchman Young Lawyer Award”. He has spoken at conferences and on podcasts about the role of ESG in the legal profession and regularly publishes articles focusing on developments in these spaces.
